Established FinTech organisation that specialises in FX Settlements is searching for a Financial Reporting Project Accounting to join their London team. This is a unique and varied role reporting directly to the Head of Financial Control and is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional seeking a new challenge in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of managing, maintaining and controlling the Group Fixed Asset register
  • Responsibility to ensure journals are posted accurately and consistently in accordance to cost capitalisation, CAPEX transfers, and fixed asset register
  • Lead monthly Fixed Asset review meetings in collaboration with the Financial Control and Business Partnering teams
  • Ensure all fixed asset related accounts are fully reconciled and ready for internal audit and external audit
  • Preparation for month end close, including asset additions, disposals and depreciation calculations along with corresponding journal processing
  • Establish a successful working relationship with key stakeholders including Finance Business Partnering and Project Management team
  • Work closely with the project teams to understand risks and opportunities and ensure they are clearly reflected in the project plan and financials
  • Review, analyse and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency, and transparency
  • Implementing process improvements to all reporting and internal control procedures
  • Supporting the Head of Financial Control in creating an environment of continuous improvement to ensure that all reporting is conducted to the highest possible standard, within set deadlines whilst meeting efficiency requirements
  • Point of contact to external auditors about project-related issues such as work in progress, fixed assets register and amortisation
  • Assist Project Managers and Business Partnering team with day-to-day project accounting

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Financial Reporting role from the Financial Services Industry - ideally Fintech.
  • Project Accounting Experience - Highly Preferred
  • Experience in producing year end audits and reconciliations - Essential
  • Qualified Accountant with post qualified experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong process improvement skills
  • Proven experience in presenting to key stakeholders

This is a varied position within a dynamic finance team and involves regular interaction with key stakeholders across the business and it is therefore essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills. The company offer a hybrid flexible working environment with 2 days in the office.
