A boutique Private Equity Fund in Central London is seeking to appoint a Fund Accountant for a 12-month maternity cover, with an ideal start date in mid-April.
The Fund Accountant will collaborate within a closely knit team, reporting directly to the Finance Director. There is a junior member within the team whom the incumbent will be responsible for supervising.
The primary focus of the role will be fund accounting, with some exposure to the corporate side.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Preparing quarterly and annual audited fund reports
- Preparing drawdown and distribution notices
- Supervising the Junior Fund Accountant
- Reviewing externally prepared fund accounts
- Supporting the seasonal audit
- Acting as a key point of contact with various external stakeholders
- Undertaking ad hoc project work
Requirements:
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) would be highly advantageous
- Prior experience in closed-end fund accounting is essential, ideally in private equity, although experience in other asset classes will be considered
