A leading investment manager is seeking to appoint a recently qualified accountant as a Real Estate Fund Accountant in a newly created position within the firm's growing real estate business. The team is currently raising a dedicated European focused Real Estate fund, so there is plenty of opportunity to be involved in the mechanics behind a new fund launch.
As a Real Estate Fund Accountant, you will be afforded the opportunity to work across all of the accounting and operational aspects of the existing and new investments of the fund.
The range of responsibilities will be vast but briefly summed up as:
- Responsibility for all fund accounting, quarterly and annual reporting for the real estate fund
- Monitor investment activity and maintain cash flow projections.
- Provide support to investment teams in the transaction process including entity incorporation, review of funds flow documents and general operational assistance to support transaction closings.
- Manage and co-ordinate the annual audit process for the fund and investment holding entities across multiple jurisdictions to meet required reporting deadlines.
Your profile is likely to include:
- ACA/ACCA or international equivalent from an accountancy practice
- Experience in dealing with a real estate or investment management client base is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of offshore funds and investment holding structures would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with senior stakeholders/ directors
