Job Description

A global Real Estate Fund is looking to appoint a Fund Controller into its London based finance team.

The firm has enjoyed strong performance over the last decade and AUM has grown to over £10bn with a portfolio predominantly centred around commercial real estate.

The FC will report to an experienced FD and is the perfect level for a qualified accountant with circa 2-4 years of post qualified experience. Ideally, candidates will have proven experience in a fund finance role - real estate as an asset class is preferred but not essential and the team are willing to consider other assets.

Key responsibilities will cover:

  • Managing external fund administrators and overseeing externally produced work, ensuring it's timely and accurate

  • Oversight and supervision of junior accountants in the team

  • Supporting the deals team with structuring, deal closing and providing analysis where required

  • Management of fund cash flows

  • Supporting the seasonal audit process

  • Portfolio analysis for investor and board level reporting

  • Management of various external stakeholders including administrators, property managers, banks, legal and compliance

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) - ideally with 2-4 years of post qualified experience

  • Prior funds finance experience - ideally within real estate although other asset classes will be taken into consideration

  • Proven experience in a role with plenty of stakeholder management

Comp is c£70-85k with a discretionary bonus and wider benefits package. The firm operate a hybrid working model and culture is closely knit and supportive.
