Job Description

A startup private credit fund is seeking to appoint a commercial middle office fund finance associate to a newly created position.

The incumbent will be the first dedicated hire into finance and will report to the front office in a heavily front-facing commercial role.

Fund accounting is predominantly outsourced to administrators, and this role will primarily involve oversight. The partners are particularly eager for this position to add value and act as an active business partner to the investment team, supporting them with investment due diligence, analysis, and execution.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Oversight and management of third-party administrators, ensuring timely and accurate monthly NAVs, quarterly accounts, and LP reporting packs.
  • Coordinating drawdown requests with borrowers.
  • Managing capital calls.
  • Liquidity management.
  • Assisting with fund structuring as required.
  • Supporting the investment team with deal execution, closings, due diligence, etc.

This is a genuine opportunity to join a fund early on in a role that can progress in numerous directions depending on the individual.

Our requirements include:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Approximately 4-7 years of experience working with private equity fund structures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically.
