Job Description

A global Bank headquartered in the UK are seeking out two new hirers to join their FP&A function. 

Both roles require qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equiv.) with relatable FP&A experience gained in a large organisation; financial services preferred. Applicants must have a commercial mind set with an appreciation of business drivers. While both roles are similar, one will operate at Group level and the other supporting the Investment Banking division. Both roles have become available following internal promotions.

Responsibilities

  • Analytics and insights production - Performs insightful analysis to draw sound conclusions to present to senior stakeholders
  • Attends to ad hoc queries from the business COOs, channel and infrastructure partners relating to P&L and balance sheet calculations performed by the system
  • Fosters a culture of performance improvement by serving as a lead for recommendations and is accountable for the delivery of efficiency benefits
  • Relationship Management / Business Partnering
  • Provides timely and accurate reports to the user community as well as external parties; has significant interaction with the wider FP&A finance team.
  • In-depth understanding of key P&L and balance sheet monthly variances
  • Formal monthly results analysis pack, and associated reviews
  • Help drive and shape the analytics agenda
  • Strategic Change - assist in developing new BI data model and associated processes
  • Supports review of all monthly MIS for senior management
  • Proactive involvement in new business initiatives
  • Identifies and drives process re-engineering and constantly challenges status quo for control improvement and process efficiency

Key requirements

  • Prior FP&A/Business Partnering experience – any industry will be considered
  • Knowledge of either cost or revenue drivers
  • Qualified accountant –  ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Strong excel skills – comfortable using Pivot tables, V-lookups etc.
  • Strong academic background
