Our Client is a leading global financial institution with a strong economical footprint across the globe. As part of their ongoing commitment to safeguarding their digital assets and maintaining a resilient cyber defense posture, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join them as the Head of Cyber Defence.
As the Head of Cyber Defence, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust strategies to protect the institute's information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You will lead a team of cybersecurity experts, collaborating closely with other technology and business units to ensure the bank's cyber defense capabilities are at the forefront of industry standards.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global cyber defense strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide strategic direction to enhance the bank's resilience against evolving cyber threats.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate cyber defense into the overall risk management framework.
2. Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of cyber defense personnel.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with other technology and business units to enhance overall cyber maturity.
3. Security Operations:
- Direct the implementation and operation of advanced security technologies and processes.
- Ensure the bank's security operations center (SOC) is proactive in identifying, responding to, and mitigating cyber threats.
- Monitor and analyze emerging cyber threats, advising executive leadership on potential risks and mitigations.
4. Incident Response and Crisis Management:
- Develop and maintain an effective incident response plan, ensuring the organization is well-prepared to handle cybersecurity incidents.
- Lead and coordinate response efforts during cyber incidents, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned.
5. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Stay abreast of evolving cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure the bank's cyber defense practices are in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Represent the bank in interactions with regulatory bodies regarding cybersecurity matters.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within cybersecurity, with a focus on cyber defense strategies.
- Strong understanding of global cyber threats, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading diverse, global teams.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
