A boutique real estate investment manager is looking for an experienced Head of Finance / junior Finance Director to head up their corporate accounting and group reporting piece in London. The preference is for someone who has worked in a regulated financial services environment such as alternative investments, asset or wealth management, or real estate investments, with around 10 years+ PQE.
This role will have responsibility for the delivery of timely and accurate consolidated management reporting to internal and external audiences, made up of several entities in the UK and US. You will also hold key relationships with the Board, auditors, and tax advisers. This role will manage a qualified accountant as well as an outsourced service provider, deputising for the CFO and their number 2.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the production of accurate and timely management information
- Operating efficient core financial accounting process
- Identifying/implementing best practice procedures
- Consolidation and reporting to partners
- Assisting with Compliance & Reg Data reporting in an FCA-regulated environment
- Managing external audit and statutory accounts production by external advisors
- Managing corporation tax and partners tax processes with external advisors and Head of Tax
- Management of team member's professional development
- Ad hoc project work
Your background:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/CA, ACCA or equivalent
- Roughly 10 years PQE or equivalent
- Experience of multinational consolidations & LLPs
- Agile to the changing needs of a growing business
- Audit or strong technical accounting experience preferred
- Previous people management experience
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
Salary on offer is c.£120k base (give or take) plus bonus and benefits. 4 days a week in the office and West End location.
