Global award winning insurance business is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Head of IT.
In this exciting opportunity you will be accountable for all aspects of IT.
The Head of IT will develop and implement the IT strategy for the division which is closely aligned, and helps to achieve, the strategic business plan. Someone from a blue-chip / insurance/ FS background would be a bonus.
Responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate the value of IT to the business and be seen as a trusted advisor/partner to the business. Develop the image of IT to ensure it is seen as a key enabler.
- Design portfolios to support business development and operations plans whilst maintaining adherence to budget, quality, IT architecture and governance.
- Take full accountability for the delivery to the business based on agreed budgets, timescales and quality. With a lean leadership team, work collaboratively in a matrix environment where Solution Delivery resources are assigned on a project or time-bound basis from UK IT staff, ACIS (India) staff & 3rd party suppliers
- Have relevant application plans & technologies within the businesses IT, and the wider Group in the IT industry
- Strong leadership
- Ensure clear, relevant communications to business stakeholders, staff, IT senior management and suppliers
