Our client, a leading Lloyd's Syndicate is looking for an Underwriter to join their market leading household binder's team in London.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio of UK and European binder business
- Structure tailor-made solutions by utilising current underwriting parameters and own experience to win new business as well as maintaining a high renewal business retention.
- Monitor peer underwriters as well as cross selling in order to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability within the team.
- Be compliant with standards for business written through Lloyd's regulations or internal MGAs.
- Maintain and develop both new and existing relationships with brokers
- Work closely with the client and advise on coverages in order to keep client satisfaction to the upmost standard
- Take advantage of new business opportunities by keeping up to date with market trends
Key requirements:
- Experience underwriting household binder business
- Knowledge of conduct risk and compliance is preferred
- Non-standard household experience is preferred but not essential
