Eames Consulting is currently working with an expanding boutique finance house that is looking to hire into their Insurance Distribution Team. The company operate within a rapidly growing segment of the Trade Finance market and look to insure the majority of the deals they transact. You will be reporting to the Head of Insurance who joined them from a major London broker early into their journey.
The role itself will see you working with the Head and another team member to ensure an efficient and pro-active Insurance Distribution service. Specifically you will be involved from the outset on Trade Finance deals, ensuring that these deals are marketable to the Insurance carriers (typically Political & Credit Risk Markets), aligning the structure of the transaction to agreed policy wordings, looking at the terms and assisting with the preparation of the transaction ready to market. Liaising with the appointed brokers to explain the transaction and discuss potential markets, sitting in on presentations with the brokers to the underwriting markets, dealing with the quotes and administration associated. Finally, working through until the transaction completes and the policy binds.
This is a really rare and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company who are going through huge growth, the amount of business they place into the market is expected to double within the next 12 months and you will be an integral part of this. In addition, you really get to see more about how clients interact with the market and better understand the thinking of insurance buyers.
To be considered for this role you should be a graduate, ideally with a numerical or scientific degree, and should have some practical work experience in the London Insurance Market, this could either be as a junior broker or underwriting assistant. This experience should be from either Political & Credit Risks or Financial Institutions. Alternatively you could be working in a Credit Analysis role within a major Investment Bank.
