This well regarded international bank is seeking an individual to join its Distribution team to focus on placement into the Credit & Political Risk Insurance Market. In short you will be working as part of the team who are responsible for distributing risk into the Credit Insurance markets through regular liaison with nominated insurance brokers, underwriters and internal stakeholders. This role will report to the London Head and ultimately through into the Global Head.
This bank have created a centralised risk distribution function, however it is still relatively new, therefore part of your role will be to liaise with internal stakeholders within the business and discuss how Insurance can help them with both capital relief and risk sharing, discussing the structures available and wordings associated, enabling them to understand how it will benefit their businesses. You will also act as the conduit between the bank and the insurance market, managing the deal flow including negotiating on wordings, pricing and general terms, meeting with the market to present the banks’ strategy on risk, discussing new products, etc.
Naturally the role is considerably broader than the above and a full job specification is available to individuals with the requisite experience. To be considered or express interest, you should be working within the Political Risk & Credit Risk Insurance markets (c.3-5yrs experience sought). Ideally having dealt with a variety of bank clients from either a broking or underwriting perspective. Alternatively, you could be working within a bank presently in an insurance syndication capacity and looking to further progress your career.
