A fast growing and highly successful Lloyd's of London insurer is looking to enhance it risk assurance capability with the creation of a new role managing a diverse range of predominantly operational risks.

This 2nd line of defence role will work closely with existing risk and compliance professionals as well as internal audit but with an independent focus on the internal control environment. Driving forward remediation of risk and compliance issues, audit findings, regulatory driven projects and presenting these initiatives and the results to committee level.

Your background may be in internal audit, risk management, internal controls, compliance or a mixture of all of them. The important thing is that you understand risk and controls, the insurance industry regulatory environment (especially Lloyd's) and are comfortable interacting with process owners and senior leadership in order to be able to provide a high level of assurance to NED's, EXCO members and the auditors.

This is a newly created position which can be shaped and developed, in part, by the successful applicant. A chance to take ownership of a segment of the 2nd line of defence in what will prove to be a very high-profile role.
