Whilst this role is at an investment management firm, the profile of individual they are after is likely to come from an investment bank. This is because the role sits within a specialist team of within group internal audit that focus on the investments side of the business.
The technical experience required for this role centres on your knowledge of traded products and investment strategies and the risks related to an investment business. This large asset manager can offer a wide ranging and complex investment landscape which will challenge the skills of most investment banking audit and risk professionals.
This is an internal audit role and so prior audit experience would certainly help. If you have some non-audit risk and controls experience and good technical knowledge of products then this could still be a good role for you.
