IT Category Manager - London / Hybrid - £400 - £435 Per Day Inside IR35

Eames Consulting is working with a Financial services company to secure the services of a IT Category Manager on an initial 6 month contract.

Job Description:

The Category Team Lead will manage a small group of Procurement Managers and Buyers (2+) focusing primarily on executing deals within a designated category area.

Essential Skills:

  • IT Infrastructure experience (10 years+) would be preferable and also familiarity in the Networks and Teclo space would be helpful.
  • They will have in-depth knowledge of their category area including supplier landscape, analysis, performance of key suppliers and emerging risks & trends.

  • The Category Team Lead will be required to build and maintain a strong operational network with other Category Team Leads to report, measure and improve on deal execution capability.

  • Category Strategies aligned and agreed with business stakeholders. Maintaining relevance through regular review cycles.
  • Development of sourcing strategies & negotiation plans.
  • The Category Team Lead will deliver, manage and lead team members to conduct end to end Sourcing activity, including requirements scoping, sourcing strategy development, RFX, negotiation and contract execution.
