IT Category Manager - London / Hybrid - £400 - £435 Per Day Inside IR35
Eames Consulting is working with a Financial services company to secure the services of a IT Category Manager on an initial 6 month contract.
Job Description:
The Category Team Lead will manage a small group of Procurement Managers and Buyers (2+) focusing primarily on executing deals within a designated category area.
Essential Skills:
- IT Infrastructure experience (10 years+) would be preferable and also familiarity in the Networks and Teclo space would be helpful.
They will have in-depth knowledge of their category area including supplier landscape, analysis, performance of key suppliers and emerging risks & trends.
The Category Team Lead will be required to build and maintain a strong operational network with other Category Team Leads to report, measure and improve on deal execution capability.
- Category Strategies aligned and agreed with business stakeholders. Maintaining relevance through regular review cycles.
- Development of sourcing strategies & negotiation plans.
The Category Team Lead will deliver, manage and lead team members to conduct end to end Sourcing activity, including requirements scoping, sourcing strategy development, RFX, negotiation and contract execution.
