My client is a leading financial services company based in Basingstoke. They are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer who will report into the IT Director. The role will sit just below him and will be responsible for around 4 direct reports. It's more of a Management role leading the team rather than hands-on although the ideal candidate should come from a hands-on background.
Objectives
- Uptime objective for core system and services
- Budgeting of running infrastructure
- New tech what's happening in the market
- Initiative what we should be doing next
- Elements of MI and data warehouse involvement
Key stakeholders internally
- All levels (general staff to exco)
Main projects -60-70 projects
- Infrastructure redesign. licensing migrations, building a bank
Background
- Contracting/perm background
- Proactive, Self-starter, Lead, Managerial experience
Must have
- Broad range of infrastructure experience (networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi same tech)
- Broad understanding at high level of applications - Cloud infrastructure - Office 365 - Scaled networks MPLS
Desirable
- Contractors history is ok
- Financial background
- Presentation skills (PowerPoint) - ISO27001
