Legal Indemnities Underwriter
Eames Consulting are working with a multinational insurer on the appointment of a legal indemnities underwriter to join their team in London. The team write a plethora of title risks across various jurisdictions globally. This would be a great opportunity for a UK focused underwriter to gain more exposure in other territories or a real estate solicitor eager to move into a more commercial role.
The role’s duties & responsibilities:
- Underwriting legal indemnities risks within detailed guidelines and agreed authority limits
- Managing your own portfolio of risks whilst developing new business opportunities
- Acting as a technical referral point on all queries legal indemnity insurance related from both internal and external parties
- Developing sustainable relationships with relevant brokers and clients
- Spotting and initiating opportunities to take advantage of changing market conditions
- Proactively developing your own capability to improve individual and team performance
Skills & experiences required:
- Strong technical knowledge of core title insurance risks or experience working in a commercial property legal team
- Experience with niche products including rights to light and title to shares risks preferred, but not essential
