A well established and global financial services business is seeking a Management Accountant to take ownership for the production and presentation of the monthly management pack, as well as assisting in various strategic initiatives and commercial ad hoc work.
Candidates must hold a fully qualified accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or international equiv.) and be familiar with budgeting and the monthly reporting process. This role has come about die to internal mobility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Assist in writing the commentary for the monthly management accounts.
- Identify and deliver ad-hoc projects that will benefit the Company.
- Assist in the design and implementation of a global budgetary process.
- Prepare and analyse variance analysis reports to aid cost control initiatives.
- Assist the Financial Controller in business analysis and forecasting business performance.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and commercial finance opportunities and ensure that any additional best practice ideas are communicated to the Financial Controller.
- actively assist in commercial projects in the business.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial information for the Company.
- Take care of the sales process and provide aid to the purchase ledger.
Requirements
- Fully Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA, ACA or international equivalent.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Experience within financial services is preferred, but not essential.
- Degree educated.
