This leading financial institution is a well known name offering a range of products to millions of customers worldwide. Their Asia headquarters is situated in Singapore, and as a result of ongoing success and expansion they are looking to appoint a regional finance manager.

The regional finance manager will be a qualified accountant with a good mix of technical accounting skills and commercial acumen. The regional finance manager reports to the head of FP&A and will manage a team of 3 staff - 1 in Singapore and 2 across the region.

Overview of the role:

  • Reporting to the Head of FP&A with frequent liaison with the Asia CFO in a flat structure
  • Supporting to meet the IFRS reporting demands
  • Building a business partnering relationship with Asian businesses
  • Working closely with a range of group functions including CAO, FP&A, actuarial and transformation teams
  • Ensure that the businesses provide the accurate and timely financial reports to the group and regional office
  • Ensure the region has an in-depth understanding of the financial results and drivers to the business, and clearly communicating this to group
  • Develop all aspects of financial planning, reporting and management information
  • Contribute to reporting to the region and group on results
  • Prepare monthly management reports, presentations, and contribute to ad-hoc financial reports as and when necessary
  • Participate and contribute to the implementation of IFRS17 project across Asia

The ideal applicant will possess and demonstrate the following:

  • CA, CPA, or ACCA qualified
  • Degree in accountancy/finance
  • 10 years plus in insurance or other related financial institutions
  • Analysis and understanding of life and GI businesses and insurance accounting knowledge
  • Business analysis and strategic planning skills
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 a strong advantage
  • Business partnering capabilities with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
  • 10 years plus in insurance or other related financial institutions
