Specialist insurance firm is currently looking for a Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join their team in London. The role will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders and report into the Regulatory Reporting Manger to produce the Syndicate Annual report and all Syndicate Underwriting Accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of the Syndicate Annual Report including completing early drafts for review, incorporating all changes required by FRS 102/103 and liaising with external auditors.
  • Assist in preparing all Regulatory Returns which consists of critically analysing the data prior to submission by raising queries, preparing draft responses to queries raised by investors and ensuring all returns are prepared in accordance to guidelines.
  • Work closely with wider team members to contribute to treasury related tasks including the preparation of Investment Committee Papers.
  • Ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong academic background - minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university.
  • Experience working within the Insurance industry, ideally the Lloyd's market in an accounting position.
  • Strong knowledge of any major GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
