Our client, a global corporate and investment bank are currently looking to appoint a research director in their Shanghai office to cover the consumer food sector. This bank have an impressive APAC platform and growing clientele across Greater China. The successful candidate will play an important advisory role across key stages of the corporate finance lifecycle.
Responsibilities will include:
- Engaging directly with clients within the consumer food sector – producers, processors and logistics suppliers to form opinions for the bank and their institutional clients (Private Equity funds, Pension Funds, Sovereign funds)
- Working closely with coverage bankers to promote the bank’s capital markets and transaction banking service offering
- Present at Industry conferences on behalf of the bank
- Deepen the bank’s knowledge base through innovative and diligent corporate research
Skills Required:
- A minimum of 8-10 years equity research or market research experience within the consumer food or agribusiness sector is essential
- Due to the target client base and geography, bi lingual business English and Mandarin are required
- Strong understanding of corporate financing and capital markets
