I am assisting the regional division of a market leading international insurer for a position in their casualty team. The role will suit anyone who has similar experience and is looking for a regional role to expand their exposure in the region.
Duties
- Handling casualty offers/submissions from international 1st and 2nd tier brokers
- Maintain and develop relationships with brokers/clients
- Underwrite profitable business within guidelines and appetite of company
- Assist team in business development and portfolio growth whilst maintaining existing business
- Assess strategies and implement strategies through clear plans that can be executed effectively
- Works with cross functional teams in development and execution of business
Experience
- More than 5 years of experience in casualty underwriting
- Good broker relationships
- High level technical and production focused underwriting experience
- Good network in the market and good understanding of the HK and Asia markets
- A self-starter and proactive person who is able to work alone and independently plan their work
- High level of communication skills
- Good team work and high level of customer service
- Degree educated
- Good relationship building skills
