A leading commodity trading firm is looking to hire a senior credit manager to be based in Singapore who will be responsible for managing the credit risk on a portfolio of counterparties. As a credit risk manager, you will analyze quantitative and qualitative information and provide advice and recommendations for credit limits, ratings and other credit terms. The position is also responsible for supporting the negotiation of credit matters with external counterparties.
The senior credit manager will work independently and manage stakeholders in the global credit team, legal, back office, trade finance departments and middle office, as well as front office teams.
Main responsibilities would include;
- In-depth financial analysis of counterparties
- Comment on and approve day to day trade requests from front office
- Evaluate and help structuring complex multi-commodity transactions
- Support negotiations and administration of credit agreements and trading lines based on ISDA, EFET, Scota, Siota etc. agreements
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of counterparties with regards to credit exposures, potential future exposures and positions and changes in credit quality.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts, financial institutions, system and grid operators and internal stakeholders on a global basis.
- Occasional business travel for credit due diligence is required
Qualifications
- Atleast 8-15 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the commodities trading market
- Ideally corporate banking credit experience
- Experience with master agreements that are used in the commodities trading market
- Ideally, Bachelor’s degree with a major in finance, economics or business administration
- Strong Microsoft office skills
