Job Description
- We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Claims Examiner to join our growing team. This role involves investigating, analyzing, negotiating, and resolving complex cyber events and claims under general supervision. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to claim resolution.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the litigation process for claims to minimize company risk.
- Analyze coverage issues, conduct investigations, and evaluate claim validity.
- Communicate claim status and related information with stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed claim files and documentation according to company standards.
- Establish reserves and authorize claim payments within authority limits.
- Maintain regular contact with insured parties throughout the claims process.
- Prepare and present claim settlements to claimants and representatives.
- Attend legal proceedings as needed (e.g., depositions, mediations, trials).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in insurance claims.
- Experience in Cyber Claims Handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Broad knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry changes and legal updates related to insurance claims.
Location and Compensation
- Hybrid/remote role with travel up to 10%.
- Annual salary range of $105,000-$145,000, commensurate with experience and location.
- Office locations available: Los Angeles, CA | Atlanta, GA | New York, NY (Remote if not near office).
