A series B funded start-up based out of Seattle is expanding in Asia and are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of credit scoring models. The start-up enables partnerships between mobile network operators and leading financial technology companies to deliver tailored financial products. The Senior Data Scientist will manage the end to end research and development of models for credit scoring of the unbanked populations in the region. This is a great opportunity for an experienced data scientist to develop innovative products and services using large data sets and advanced algorithms.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct data exploration and discovery analysis on multiple data sources
- Research novel machine learning methodologies and techniques
- Research and develop credit scoring models using machine learning
- Deploy models on client site
Skills / Experience:
- Advanced degree in Computing or Statistics with more than 5 years machine learning experience
- Experience in big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, HDFS, Kafka
- Experience in languages for implementing data science such as Scala, Python
- Experience in building pricing or risk models in financial services
