iOS Developer

FTC 12 months (with the view of going perm) - £95k

Location: Bracknell / Glasgow / Liverpool

Job Description: We are seeking a talented Mobile Developer with expertise in iOS development to join our team. As a Mobile Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that impact millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced mobile applications for iOS platforms.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Stay updated on the latest mobile development trends and technologies.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing mobile applications for iOS (using Swift and/or Objective-C)
  • Strong understanding of iOS SDK, UIKit, and Interface Builder
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML parsing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of additional mobile development frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as XCTest, Espresso, or JUnit.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or personal mobile app projects.
