  • We are seeking a Reinsurance Contract Analyst to join our Global Portfolio Management team. Reporting to the Global Operations Leader, this role involves analyzing U.S. & Canadian Treaty Reinsurance Contracts and providing valuable feedback to underwriters on contract language consistency and firm order terms & conditions. This position offers excellent visibility within the company, interacting closely with Underwriters and Brokers at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain timely review of renewal business, new business, final documents, I&L processing, and endorsements.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management, U.S. and Canadian Treaty Underwriters, Legal, Claims, and Reinsurance Brokers.
  • Develop and oversee contracts training plans for underwriters and technical assistants.
  • Communicate contract changes based on Lines of Business, Clients, Brokers, Clauses, and provide historical perspectives.
  • Track broker introduced language and disseminate information to the underwriting team.
  • Lead quarterly task force meetings to outline trends and changes in contract language.
  • Assist in contracts administration, including documentation of internal electronic files.
  • Contribute to special projects across multiple product lines and provide support/feedback to other departments as needed, including drafting treaty and certificate language.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Reinsurance Treaty Contracts Analysis as a Contract Analyst or Treaty Underwriter.
  • Strong technical skills in reinsurance contract structures and coverages.
  • Proficient knowledge of reinsurance operations and industry practices.
  • Professional (re)insurance designations such as CPCU or ARe are preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Location and Compensation

  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule in the New York City office, with approximately 3 days in the office per week and the remainder remote. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New York, exclusive of benefits and incentives, is $115,000 - $150,000 plus a 15% targeted bonus. The final base salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's specific skill set and experience level.
