Senior Research and Development Manager - Up to £110,000 + Bonus
A respected Lloyd's syndicate is looking for a Research and Development Manager to join their London based team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large syndicate and lead a team of researchers focused on the latest academic research.
This role will have a focus on climate risks and you will conduct model validation to ensure the syndicate's existing models are calibrated to the current level of risk. The successful candidate will have the support of 1-2 researchers and will work alongside the Exposure Management team to understand climate-related perils and assist with reinsurance purchases.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a Catastrophe Modelling or Research Role within the reinsurance industry and educated to a Masters or PhD level (or equivalent). In order to be considered for this role strong technical skills in Modelling Software, GitHud, GIS applications, Azure, SQL, Python, C# and front-end JavaScript frameworks is required.
