A well-established insurer is seeking to appoint a Senior Life Science Underwriter to cover their Birmingham & Reading branches.
The role will involve underwriting new and existing business within the Life Science sector which could include a combination of standalone Employers Liability, Public Liability, Products Liability, Property, E&O and Clinical Trials.
The successful candidate will need to develop and execute a business plan for the class utilising their network and strong broker relationships and will also get involved in local strategic management and promotion of arguably the strongest brand in this sector. Key here must be passion around Life Sciences as a sector but individuals with a strong Casualty background will also be considered and there are excellent training and development prospects available.
The client is flexible on location regarding candidates and they can be based out of Birmingham or Reading and can be partly home based where appropriate. There will be extensive travel involved in the role given the broad territory covered.
