A well-established insurer is seeking to appoint a high calibre individual to develop and Underwrite Science and Technology risks in the London and Home Counties region.
The role of the Senior Science and Technology Underwriter is to underwrite complex Science and Technology risks, as well as support the Science and Technology Line Manager in the design and delivery of the Science and Technology offering for the sector. You will contribute to the development of a market leading product and the necessary evolution of that product in line with market needs.
You will also support the regional development plan, and with the Regional Manager, achieve the strategic aims and income goals outlined in the UK Retail business plan.
You will be expected to develop and maintain strong broker relationships, and provide excellent service to them and will have a strong desire to be highly visible to brokers, both encouraging development meetings and telephone contact. You will also cultivate strong internal relationships and have a desire to influence the continual development of Markel’s Science and Technology products and its underwriting team.
