One of the UK's leading London Markets insurance firms is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to join their growing team in a key leadership position based in the city of London. The firm in question is one of the fastest growing firms in the city currently and are embarking a number of major changes across their tech team in 2019.
The role of Software Development Manager will lead a team of elite level developers in a core leadership role. The role will not involve hands-on development but will rather focus on building and developing a high performing development team. You will be responsible for implementing best practice and building a robust SDLC process. You will also be responsible for working closely with 3rd party vendors for the outsourced testing function, as well as senior IT leadership internally.
To be considered for the role of Software Development Manager you will have:
- Strong background leading software development teams
- Experience within the insurance space if preferred
- Prior hands-on software development background
- Experience of implementing software development processes, procedures and governance
- Experience working with 3rd part vendors and outsourced suppliers
- Strong people leadership skills and experience
