Technical Architect required for a Fin-Tech start up in Hounslow on site with our client

You will work in the Digital and Product department where they will collaborate with the existing technical team on the design of both current and new systems used throughout the business and be expected to actively participate in the technology upgrade strategy.

In this role, you will be required to translate complex requirements into functional architecture and will need to have hand-on experience of software development and be able to guide and coach developers with varying degrees of experience. You must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Work with Product Owners to understand company needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams and lead decisions on product architecture and design
  • Drive the existing systems evolution with a focus on security, performance, scalability and maintainability
  • Plan and design the structure of new technology solutions
  • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and identify integration methods
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications
  • Oversee products through development by providing guidance to team members, performing code reviews and working with product owners to ensure successful outcomes
  • Monitor systems to ensure they meet business goals and performance requirements
  • Independently analyze, solve and correct issues in real time
  • Identify opportunities to improve working practices and recommend changes where necessary
 
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 3+ Years of experience in leading the design of significantly sized or complex systems written in the Microsoft Technology stack.
  • Significant experience of delivering custom solutions and integrating enterprise-wide applications
  • A solid development background in .NET Technologies and SQL Server
  • An understanding of architectural patterns including Service Orientated Architectures, Microservices, REST etc.
  • An understanding of DevOps and experience with CI & CD
  • Experience working with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Experience with SQL Server Performance Tuning and Optimization
  • Ability to organize and plan work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both within the development team and across the wider business
