Based in our head office in Farringdon, you will be part of an existing team of 6, under the management of a highly respected and experienced director who has grown the team into one of the company’s most profitable divisions, the Broking, Claims & Underwriting team.

A BIT ABOUT THE TEAM

The team is a blend of ex-market individuals and experienced insurance recruitment specialists which includes the company’s top permanent biller. You will be able to call upon a wealth of knowledge and support within the team.

With an already established footprint in the insurance market, the team operates at the mid-to-senior level of the market, offering clients a highly effective search service on a contingent basis. This will be an active client and candidate facing role. With a wealth of existing relationships to leverage off and the opportunity to build your own, this role gives you the autonomy to do recruitment your way.

This is an exciting and rewarding time to join the team and as Associate Consultant you will be given full exposure to handling candidates, which will include attending candidate meetings with consultants. There will also be opportunities to attend client meetings with consultants to discuss assignments. You will work to a full 12-month development plan in order to progress to consultant at which point you will manage your own portfolio of assignments within a specific area of the market. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Name-gathering, utilising web and telephone research. This includes using database mining techniques and networking to generate candidates for assignments, and to build qualified candidate pools
  • Adding to the client and candidate database, ensuring all records are maintained and updated on the CRM, whist keeping up to date on industry news and developments
  • Interview candidates in person as well as over the telephone
  • Develop and maintain relationships with candidates by conducting follow up conversations
  • Responsible for achieving personal and financial targets whist being supported by the senior members of the team

You are eager to work with top clients and candidates within the London insurance, banking and Investment Management market. Self-aware and tenacious, you’re looking for an opportunity to succeed in a supportive environment whilst having the opportunity to develop your own career autonomously.

You’re a strong communicator and building relationships and nurturing them is your strength. Driven, focused and persistent, you are motivated by competition but have a team focused approach.  Ideally, you will have insurance or recruitment industry experience (0-6 months) or experience in a previous sales or client facing role.
