A leading global insurance company with a long established history is looking to add to their team, due to expansion. Boasting coverage in over 120 countries, this company delivers unrivalled services in multiple insurance and risk management disciplines. This role would be leading the tax operations within the UK and European regions of the company, giving an aspirational candidate the opportunity to shape the tax processes for the future. It is a senior stand-alone role in a heavily outsourced environment. Therefore, you will be expected to implement internal controls that assist in the submission of regulatory requirements, as well as develop and streamline existing tax processes. By collaborating with the CFO and tax advisors from across a number of countries, a successful candidate must prepare and submit tax returns for international operations.
It is vital that you have a working knowledge of various tax requirements for insurance companies operating in the UK, and an awareness of similar European tax regimes. You should have experience of working in the Insurance industry, as well as with Lloyd's Syndicates. An ACA, CTA or similar qualification is required, which should be supported with a strong knowledge of tax forecasting and advising tax efficiency.
