Global Insurance Business is currently hiring for a UK Head of Treasury to join their London Head office. This role has been created through an internal move and involves managing Treasury activities for local entities and reports directly to the Global Treasurer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Treasury activities for local entities (excludes Treasury operations)
- Ensure the Treasury control environment is adequately designed and operating effectively.
- Support the Global Treasurer in developing business and strategic objectives for the Treasury organization.
- Assist in developing a resilient Treasury infrastructure that will meet the needs of the company and grow with the business
- Monitor cash position, short-term investing and borrowing, fraud prevention, other related cash management functions.
- Monitor financial risk from local entities business activities including liquidity, foreign exchange, interest rate, and counterparty risks.
- Act as primary contact for Investment and Fund Managers on administration of local investment accounts – complete subscriptions documents, respond to capital calls, requests for consent, and other requirements as needed, facilitate mergers and acquisitions, ensure communications and reporting are distributed appropriately, etc.
- Develop and update checklists and processes to efficiently on-board new acquisitions into the Group and execute plans for mergers and divestures.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience leading a Treasury Management Division ideally within the Insurance sector or Financial Services
- Strong process improvements skills
- Treasury subject matter expert including cash management, bank relationship management, Financial Risk Management, Financing, Controls, Investments and M&A.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
