Eames Consulting, established in 2002, specialises in providing recruitment solutions to the insurance, financial services and technology sectors on a national and international basis. We are dedicated to ensuring that our business is conducted with credibility and integrity and in compliance with all relevant legislation. We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in line with The Modern Slavery Act 2015 (‘The Act’) and have a zero-tolerance approach both within our own business and our supply chain. Modern Slavery is a violation of fundamental human rights and involves the recruitment, movement, harbouring or receiving of children, women, or men for the purpose of exploitation.
Every employee and all persons working for us or on our behalf, including contractors and external consultants, are responsible for reading and complying with this policy and ensuring that any supplier they engage with has similar values and procedures in place.
Eames Consulting is committed to ensuring that both our own employees and candidates that we place, as well as suppliers that we engage with, all have the relevant right to work and are therefore protected by legislation. We do not employ or engage with anyone that would be considered a child worker. Additionally, we will only engage with clients and suppliers who offer the same level of protection to their own employees. Our suppliers are required to adhere to business standards which are in accordance with our own values and the ethical way in which we conduct business and must comply with all applicable legislation. They must not hold a person in slavery or servitude or require a person to perform any form of forced or compulsory labour and must not arrange or facilitate the trafficking of any persons.
Our senior management team has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with our legal and ethical obligations, and that all our employees and supply chain comply with it. The operations team has primary and day-to-day responsibility for implementing this policy and reviewing the risk profile of our supply chain to ensure that any procedures implemented are effective in monitoring modern slavery.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking. We have in place a supply chain compliance programme to ensure that all those in our supply chain and our contractors comply with our values and include paying employees at the prevailing minimum wage applicable within their relevant country of operations. The compliance programme consists of client’s reviews, audits, and self-certification declarations.
Should anyone working for us or on our behalf suspect that this policy has been breached or compromised, they are obliged to inform the Head of HR & Operations with immediate effect. Any employee who breaches this policy could face disciplinary action, which may result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct. We may terminate our relationship with other suppliers and organisations working on our behalf or with us if they breach this policy.
As part of our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking we have in place systems to:
Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chain, and internally, so these can then be mitigated and monitored
Ensure compliance with legislation both internally and across our supply chain through our internal compliance and HR teams, with full support from the company Board.
All Eames Consulting employees receive training to understand the signs of modern slavery, and where to report any concerns they may have. This is conducted as part of their induction and recommunicated regularly via the employee manual.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Eames Consulting's slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending December 2021 and was approved by the Founder and CEO in April 2022.
