Azure Data Engineer (Contract)
£500 - £550 per day (Outside IR35)
Azure, Databricks, PySpark, ADLS, Data Factory.
6 month contract/ 2 days per month on site (London)
Job Description
I am working with an Education client who are on the lookout for Azure Data Engineering contractors. As a company data is central to their business and they are at the start of a major data transformation program that will see them centralise their data sources within the business and move from on prem SQL databases to a centralised Databricks platform hosted in Azure, with the idea that it can then serve the wider business with their data tasks moving forwards.
This is a 6 month contract with plenty of potential to extend. For this contract role we need Data Engineers with experience in most of the following:
- On prem to cloud migration projects
- SQL Database experience
- Data collection and ingestion
- Working with PySpark and Databricks
- Data cleaning
- Working on ETL tasks to ingest data into Azure Data Lake
- Cloud infrastructure and platform experience
The contract is Outside IR35 for 6 months initially, the day rate on offer is up to £550 per day and to be considered for this contract you need to be able to travel to the clients site at least 2 days per month.
