Director of Corporate Partnerships (Cybersecurity)
A leading global venture capital and private equity firm requires a Director of Corporate Partnerships (Cybersecurity)
The Cybersecurity expert will support the organisation's corporate partnership program
This person will work with the team to expand the program's reach and influence, create and deliver thought leadership and support revenue growth acceleration activities for organisation's portfolio companies with a particular focus on cybersecurity.
Description
Partnership strategy
Contribute to corporate engagement strategy
Analyze existing relationships in cybersecurity teams across accounts and uncover gaps
Create curated program messaging and positioning for cybersecurity executives
Identify stakeholders at corporate accounts i. Focus on CISOs and direct reports (e.g., Chief Security Architect, Head of Security Operations Centre)
Develop and manage cybersecurity contacts at corporate partnership accounts
Support relationship development efforts from origination
Re-engage with existing relationships on an ongoing basis
Extend Corporate Partnerships program offering
Business Development
Identify business development opportunities for portfolio companies
Socialise new relevant cybersecurity investments
Facilitate portfolio company introductions
Identify appropriate corporate and portfolio company stakeholders
Executive engagement
Lead the production and refreshing of executive briefings/engagement
Identify emerging cybersecurity trends (e.g., XDR) and tech advancements
Thought Leadership
Produce thought leadership content
Create an ecosystem and networking opportunities for executives
Qualifications and Skills
Educational / Professional Experience
Undergraduate degree (preferably in Computer Science / Engineering) with a strong academic record
Master's degree is a plus (MSc Cyber Security is preferable)
Minimum eight years of work experience in cybersecurity
Experience working at/with large global organizations (preferable)
Knowledge Requirements
Deep and holistic understanding of cybersecurity
General landscape (e.g., emerging trends, enterprise priorities)
Corporate knowledge on cybersecurity (e.g., org. structure, team responsibilities)
Technical acumen (e.g., EDR, BCP, BDR)
Good understanding of cybersecurity software solutions and start-up ecosystem
Good understanding of enterprise software space and B2B sale
Interpersonal Skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills (virtually and in-person)
Team-oriented personality; proactive contributor and team player with a positive attitude
Communication Skills
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
Comfortable communicating with senior executives, including those with technical backgrounds
Consultancy experience would be beneficial
