A broad, commercial and business-facing Finance Manager opportunity at a diversified family office group.

Owing to growth they're seeking to appoint a finance manager to oversee all accounting, reporting and analysis for a complex and eclectic mix of business interests. The company are going through a period of change and this role would suit someone comfortable in a hands-on role with far reaching responsibilities, with longer term potential to evolve into a more senior position.

Day to day you'll be responsible for all accounting, reporting and analysis for the family's individual investments and portfolio of tangible and non-tangible assets across property, asset management and technology. There are a couple of junior accountants in the team who cover all transactional work, book keeping, month end etc with this role focused on the review, consolidation and oversight for all deliverables; you're the face of the business so to speak. We need someone smart, switched on, keen to shake things up and with a positive mindset. They key thing to mention is that this portfolio consists of lots of moving parts and strong attention to detail is absolutely crucial. On top of the reporting, there would inevitably involvement in lots of ad hoc analysis and supporting the FD on project work. Previous experience with tax compliance and personal tax would also be a huge advantage.

This role would probably suit someone around the 3 to 5 years post qualified mark or similar, looking to move into their first Finance Manager position. A strong academic background is essential in addition to formal accounting qualifications - ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent. The preference at this stage is for candidates coming from family office, funds management, private equity, venture capital or property.
