Glen Roberts

Partner & Director

I am a partner and director at Eames Consulting, responsible for leading our banking and asset management division and a team of highly successful consultants in the finance, compliance, risk, in-house legal and audit space in London.

Having started my recruitment career in 2005, I proactively support alternative asset managers, including private equity, infrastructure, private debt and credit funds. My area of specialism is mid-to-senior level finance appointments such as financial controller, head of finance and financial director and chief financial officer level.

Using my extensive network of contacts, I also create opportunities for my team, leveraging my connections gained throughout my career, and I continue to work with a select portfolio of funds to find them the very best talent possible across the financial services market.

I add value to my market by simplifying the process of hiring and making it as straightforward and transparent as possible. It’s important that my clients know they are being represented through a trusted partner and that their best interests are prioritised.

I ensure my service is best-in-class by not lowering the bar around standards and quality for both my clients and candidates. I ensure that I listen to their needs and that I am thoughtful and considered in my approach whilst supplying honest feedback and focusing on solutions.

What is it about recruitment that has kept you in the industry? Learning how to run my own business (and I’m constantly still learning!), money and financial gain and seeing people who work for me develop into incredible recruiters, flourish and teach me things I don’t know.

What is the proudest moment of your career? Building up my current team at Eames Consulting. I am truly humbled, honoured and immensely proud of my current cohort of recruiters and seeing them overperform, push themselves and exceed their targets gives me the greatest sense of achievement I’ve had in my career to date.
