A leading boutique asset manager is urgently looking to appoint a Senior Accountant / Finance Manager level candidate into a 9 month maternity cover role. The firm are looking for an immediate start and someone who can commence employment by the end of January at the latest.
Ideally you will be a qualified accountant with a broad financial, management and regulatory reporting background in investment management and/or financial services more broadly - this is essential given the specialist nature of the role. You need to be comfortable in a hands on role that will involve everything from basic month end tasks through to preparing full sets of accounts. The company are a very sociable and down to earth business with 130 people in London and a positive attitude to flexibility and work/life balance.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Production of group management accounts, providing the monthly results and related information to various stakeholders and the Board
- Annual financial statements for two UK companies, one of which includes consolidated accounts
- Preparing a number of regulatory returns to the FCA
- Tax reporting including VAT and corporate tax
