A top tier bank is looking to hire an experienced Compliance professional to head up the Financial Crime MI & Reporting function.
The key purpose of the role is to have oversight of all functions which are in place to prevent AML, Terrorist Financing & other criminal activities covering the UK & Ireland region and ensuring all relevant MI / data is collated and reported, for use by senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Building and maintaining processes which adhere to regulatory requirements, related to the design of a central framework which assures senior management that the appropriate Financial Crime controls are in place.
- Liaising with Financial Crime and non-Financial Crime stakeholders (IT, Security, Legal etc.); collating evidence from them to assess how these functions are managing risk.
- Meeting with stakeholders regularly to oversee on-going programmes and drafting reports on the progress for senior management/Board meetings.
- Producing regular and ad-hoc MI and accountable for regional Data Quality; embedding the reporting framework in regions.
Skills & qualifications
- Educated to degree level and preferably additional, professional qualifications (i.e. ICA Diploma).
- Extensive Financial Crime experience in a Financial Services setting (ideally Banking).
- Strong expertise in collating and interpreting MI, to create a risk overview and recommended action points.
- Exposure to owning the reporting processes and experience in presenting MI/reports to senior management.
- Highly analytical with a methodical approach in translating complex data into simple, key messages.
- First-rate communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to interact with a variety of audiences.
