Job Description

A highly commercial and strategic role suited to someone at manager/senior manager level looking for a first move out of practice into industry or alternatively an opportunity for an experienced fund accounting manager looking for a more boutique employer. The company are a globally renowned fund administration and outsourcing business who have grown from strength to strength in the last few years, more than quadrupling headcount. With a number of acquisitions completed in recent months in addition to new client wins, the business has expanded exponentially and is looking to appoint a fund accounting manager to their private equity team in London. The London office is only a few years old but has hired at break neck speed since opening with this appointment a crucial ‘right hand person’ appointment to the head of private equity fund accounting.

Responsibilities will be centered around managing a small team of qualified and part qualified fund accountants who provide fund and corporate accounting services to mainly UK based boutique PE managers. Your role will be to manage and sign off on all client deliverables and accounts, ensuring deadlines are hit and to act as the main point of contact for a number of high profile funds. You’ll need to be comfortable talking to external stakeholders as this role will also get involved in a number of high profile projects related to growth in addition to assisting with client onboarding. With significant investment in systems and a strong pipeline of new clients, this is an ideal time to join this firm as they are poised to embark on a period of growth and expansion in the UK and Europe.

I’m ideally keen to speak to people at Manager or Senior Manager level from practice who have relevant private equity knowledge – ie: funds audit – or alternatively people working at Manager level in fund accounting who are interested in a move to a more commercial and business facing role. You’ll need to have worked with private equity funds and be comfortable with a client facing role that involves developing relationships with people from a variety of finance/tax/legal backgrounds. The company prides itself on a flexible working culture with a commitment to ensuring all employees don’t burn the midnight oil and maintain a healthy work life balance as evidenced by their multiple industry awards as an employer of choice. They also boast an impressive staff retention rate with plenty of examples to show internal career progression, both in the UK and overseas.

Salary on offer is c£75-85,000 depending on experience plus benefits and bonus.
