Phenomenal opportunity to join a fast-growing infrastructure fund manager in a newly created senior appointment. The company are currently coming to the end of a round of fund raising and this new hire is linked directly to growth in assets under management and increase in the size of their portfolio companies. Work alongside their CFO this middle office role would focus exclusively on all funds finance as their first Fund Controller appointment in a heavily outsourced environment.
Responsibilities will be incredibly far reaching as you'd expect, from high level oversight of the fund accounting to running their internal hedging strategy, valuations, financial modelling, performance analysis (ie: IRRs) and plenty of other ad hoc requests for front office as well as the investors. You need to be comfortable being hands on but high level with the expectation that you'd be the main point of contact for a number of stakeholders internally and externally.
We're keen to speak to people who are a qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent - with a background in fund accounting and valuations for closed ended funds and ideally at least 5 years PQE+ or equivalent. Specific exposure to infrastructure funds isn't essential but we do need people who understand the concepts of accounting for limited partnership structures - ie: carried interest, waterfalls etc. Alternatively, the CFO is also keen to speak to people at Manager or Senior Manager level in a large global Accounting firm who are looking for a first move into industry with relevant funds audit experience. In terms of personality you'll need to be an adaptable and approachable individual, reasonably low maintenance and happy in a stand-alone role that will have contact with everyone in the fund from Managing Partner down.
Interviews are looking to commence ASAP via video calls with the expectation that a final stage meeting would take place face to face. The company has offices in Mayfair but is operating a full work from home environment for the foreseeable.
