A fresh new entrant into the PERE space is urgently looking to appoint an experienced senior fund accountant or fund controller for a newly created role. The business are early stage having raised and closed their inaugural fund in the last 18 months. With a growing portfolio of assets and healthy investor backing, they're a name to watch out for with this hire created due to growth.
Reporting into the CFO in a highly outsourced environment responsibilities will include all deal support through to fund accounting/reporting (review) and fund operations for a complex portfolio. As per most funds a lot of the basic work is outsourced to various service providers with the value add kept in-house. The role is also likely to include a lot of ad hoc support to the investment and portfolio teams in addition to oversight of various third party relationships. Ideal if you're looking for a more commercially orientated role with genuine exposure to the investment process.
We're looking for someone who has a background in fund accounting or fund control for closed ended funds - ie: private equity, real estate, credit/debt, infrastructure or similar. Or alternatively an Audit Manager with relevant funds audit experience looking for a first move in-house. Any exposure to Luxembourg SPVs would also be massively advantageous. You'll need formal accounting qualifications and a keen interest in moving to an early stage fund.
Salary on offer is £65-85,000 depending on level and experience in addition to exceptional bonus potential.
