This highly regarded and top tier fund have grown year on year since their first fund was raised just over ten years ago. Their investment strategy has expanded into debt in the last five years, which has complimented their solid foundations in European mid market Private Equity. Finance has evolved over time to become a highly respected and integrated team who work closely with the investment and portfolio managers, covering elements of traditional fund finance through to deal support, valuations, structuring and involvement in the acquisition and disposal process.
This role is a pivotal new appointment reporting into the Finance Director and would oversee a team of six, with an emphasis on getting involved in more strategic business facing work. They have always operated in a highly outsourced environment, freeing you up to focus on adding value. The existing team need a mentor and leader as well as someone who can help improve and build on what's currently in place. Longer term the role will evolve and increase in seniority with several fund raises currently underway across both their PE and debt strategies.
I'm keen to speak to people who have experience in-house in a fund - preferably private equity, debt or credit, infrastructure or similar. Familiarity with closed ended funds and a thorough technical grounding in all aspects of funds finance is essential given the highly specialised nature of this role.
