Our client, a leading re/insurance specialist, is looking for a seasoned governance professional to join their growing Oversight Framework function.
This is responsible for the design and effective operation of the Market Oversight Framework, including processes, tools and systems used by our oversight teams, to ensure our approach to oversight is effective and risk-based.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsible for the design, documentation and operation of processes and systems to enable a coherent and risk-based Market Oversight Framework. Ownership of a number of key oversight tools to support the effective operation of the framework.
Responsible for triaging changes proposed by oversight teams to oversight processes and jointly developing the proposals alongside oversight teams for presentation to the appropriate committees.
Responsible for the preparation and publication of the annual Market Oversight Plan
Responsible for providing analysis of our holistic risk-based oversight tools. Provide quarterly insight to Board and senior committees highlighting progress, material findings and key areas of concern. Reporting includes progress for Business and risk appetites.
Responsible for the design, development, training and ownership of tools to support market oversight
Contribute to an open and transparent culture of risk management and demonstrate a strong awareness of the risks that should be managed within the responsibilities of the role
Experience and knowledge required:
Significant and relevant technical insurance/reinsurance industry experience required
Developing cross-functional frameworks and processes
Implementing new processes and systems
Providing analysis and/or reports which focus on the resolution of key issues.
Prior experience in an oversight controls and governance role
Well versed in advising on risk management, performance and regulation within the Lloyd's and/or London market
