This is a role at group level which requires an Underwriter to work in a small team but with a large remit covering Property, Construction and Engineering across all regions. The two portfolios have a NWP of £1bn+.
The role requires the successful candidate to deal with complex case referrals and special high-risk underwriting licences. This will be overseeing portfolios to NAT CAT business and contributing to the re-drafting of wordings, undertaking regional underwriting audits and technical validations. Other duties will include leading various Group Networks and work streams, including large loss reviews and taking part in technical centres of excellence and ensuring that actions are delivered by the groups.
The successful candidate will need to engage and develop relationships with the Group Pricing, Claims, Reinsurance and Exec level teams. Previous experience within Underwriting across Property but preferably Construction & Engineering is essential for this role.
