Our client is looking for an experience UK Casualty Underwriter that has good market trading relationships, possibly from regional contacts in Birmingham, Manchester etc. as well as the London Market.
You will be running an existing book of business worth circa £5m GWP and will be working alongside a Property team and a wider Casualty offering across International & US regions. The book is primary layers for SME clients and will be an open market book with some carefully selected binders.
The company has a philosophy to write more open market business than purely delegate through binders. Business will be written on a company stamp and will have a circa £15-20m line size. The company is mindful of writing an EL heavy book and this is not desirable from a new business perspective. Target segments will be real estate, property owners, manufacturing, transportation and EIL impairment lines.
All applicants will have written UK Casualty lines of business with a carrier or syndicate, and ideally will have a strong Broker network.
