A global private equity firm with offices in the UK, Europe and US is urgently looking to appoint a Systems Accountant with Investran experience. This is an ideal opportunity for a systems savvy individual to play a pivotal role in the company use of Investran which will involve frequent liaison with external IT consultants and management of stakeholders internally.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the implementation of Investran for various groups (e.g. Accounting, Investor Services, Tax, Treasury etc) within the organisation
- Prepare Excel templates for automatic data uploads
- Scope out automated processes and help with testing and implementation
- Define detailed requirements for reports and custom solutions
- Test and deliver reports and custom solutions to end users
- Provide system training and system support to end users
- Perform testing of various application features and record findings in a detailed manner
- Help generate and compile quarterly reports successfully
- Help improve user experience by reorganising processes and configuring the system more efficiently
- Design the system for new functions
- Efficiently manage projects and timelines
Your background:
- Degree educated (preferred) with a minimum of 3-5 years experience or equivalent using Investran as a super user and/or systems accountant and/or business analyst
- Formal accounting qualifications would be helpful but aren't essential
- Experience working at or consulting with private equity and alternative asset managers
- Understanding of the PE lifecycle events (Funding, Capital Calls, Investments, etc.)
- Understanding of PE Accounting principles
- Ability to analyse accounting data and pinpoint potential issues
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organisational, time and project management skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative and learn independently
- Able to build up relationships as part of a global organisation
Salary is open and the firm are happy to consider candidates looking from £60-80,000 depending on experience.
